Having lived in the Cultural District for more than 10 years, I have been amazed and inspired by being a resident of an emerging neighborhood:

Watching the bright lights come on, the streets and sidewalks fill with residents, sidewalk diners, flowerboxes, shoppers, tourists, theater-goers, rivertrail joggers and bikers, dog walkers, parades, sports enthusiasts heading to the filled stadiums, live music, world class art galleries and festivals, Ducky and Segway tours, organic grocers, farmers markets, fireworks, riverboats floating by, kayakers and water skiers, etc, etc. (whew!), has been very exciting!

Pittsburgh certainly IS a NEW CITY!
